I should've documented my project here as it was happening. I apologize for that, but to frame in the context of my question...
I have an 85 silverado. I yanked the original 305 turd and put in a 1974 350 with cam, performer intake, carb and rebuilt heads. I got the motor to fire this weekend. Yippee! Among the many little annoyances I need to correct, is that my oil pressure gauge stays pegged at about 2 o' clock. My questions....
a. Which sending unit is the right one for this setup? the one for the 85 305 or the one for the 74 350?
b. Like an idiot, I didnt mark any wires when pulling the 305, so what color wire am I looking for and what does the connector on it look like? Any pics would be greatly appreciated...
