my old truck is done playing in the mud im in the process of cleaning it up doing body work on it now. i just want something alittle different havent seen many 4x4s with big tires and wheels

If you're gonna do the street truck thing, suggest leaving the 4x4 be and getting a 2wd as a starting platform.  Just my $0.02.

I think it would be a more practical rig than some of these truck with carbed bigblocks 3 speeds and massive mudders.  Besides, 99% of the time the truck is on road so why not design it around that fact.

To what are you responding? I'm confused. Not one person answered this guys question and while I don't think big wheels and little tires looks good on any rig 2 or 4wd as it seems most others don't care for is anyone going to attempt to answer his question?

Boy the "style" that they think looks good over on the west coast just blows my redneck-from-KY mind.  I can't wrap my mind around thinking it looks good for the bottom of the body to sit level with the top of the tires and have zero tire tucked up into the fenderwell.  I don't mean to be rude but IMO they couldn't have made those trucks look any worse.  Wow.  Truly the "ricers" of the diesel world on display right there.


Sorry for the OT rant there.  It is my opinion, the nothing larger than 20" looks good on 99% of 4wd trucks, regardless of vintage.  The only trouble I see in larger wheels for the older trucks is that the styling/design of the wheels don't always seem to fit well with the lines and look of the older vehicles.  However, there are plenty that do look fantastic though.


Lets see a side pic of your truck and maybe someone on here can photo shop you some 20s on it?

I know INSIDE summit racing there is a computer that allows you to pull up a vehicle adjust the height and wheel and tire size right in front of you, its not perfect, but it does give you a good idea how it will look.
