Only thing i don't get is the whole stretching the tire bit. that used to be a lowrider only thing. The rim should not be wider then the tire. Just my opinion.

found a couple pics.  This was my first project vehicle, learned a lot from it... a lot of what not to do.  I think it would have looked better with a small lift and 33's.

Big wheels and thin sidewalls must make the steering more precise.  How about the ride?  My 1990 3/4 ton Suburban with big rubbers already rides pretty stiff the way it is and I can't imagine how hard it would ride without the cushion from the tires was taken away.

17's are as big as I care to go with 4x4's. Anything bigger just doesn't look right to me.

to me he was saying that a lifted truck with big rims and small sidewalls would be more practical than mudders since it wouldnt see the pits. and everyone else tried to help with older trucks newer truck but no one had any of our truck so. I guess weren’t supposed to respond to a question now ::)
