TPI Swap help

Okay all the stuff is in.  It cranks and cranks and does not start.  Fuel pump pumps.  Hooked up the noid lights and they flash.  Checked the spark with a spark tester and it makes spark.  I have no idea where to go next.  I guess fuel pressure test but but if anyone has other thoughts I'm open to help.  Thanks team!!

You need spark, injector pulse, fuel pressure and timing both mechanical and ignition. Verify all of those. If you artificially inseminate it does it run?

I didn't have any ether but it will stubble on brake clean and act like it wants to run poorly.  I haven't been able to get a timing lite on it as it doesn't run but I have verified the new distributor is stabbed correctly several times.

When if ever is the last time the engine ran?  I swaped an LT1 in a guys 50 chevy pickup and when I tried to start it it would not start. I had everything I needed, spark, fuel, air, timing......... Finally after dumping fuel in the throttle plates it would somewhat hit but not run. Then I had a thought....... it hadnt run in like 5 or more years so I shot some motor oil in each cylinder, cranked it over a few times, put the plugs back in and VROOOOOOOOM it fired right up. The rings were dried out and not sealing. It didn't have enough compression to fire.  The smoke from the oil cleared up and it ran like a champ.

Update:  I put a fuel pressure tester on it today and I got 45psi when priming and it got a little higher cranking.  When I stopped cranking it it held steady at 40 and was very slow to bleed off.  It was getting dark so I only had time to check one hole but I got 150 PSI crankign compression in cylinder one.

Okay so I messed around with the timing some more and tested the coil again and got some real starting fluid.  I managed to get the engine to start and idle a little with the starting fluid but it didn't last real long.  I got it running enough to get the timing in to a reasonable spot about 4 BTDC.  Not a super accurate time because of the struggle to keep it going but it is closeish.  The injectors are all around 16.5 ohms.  I have 45 psi at the rail test port but the fact it runs on the ether makes me suspect fuel.  What are the odds 8 injectors are so bad the vehicle won't even run poorly??  Any help appreciated.

what type of tpi are you using? ecu/ecm? it is possible that the injectors are not fiering at all. does the system have a cam position sensor or even a throttle position sensor?.

It is a TPI setup out of an '88 IROC.  I know that the computer is trying to command the fuel injectors on as I have power to them and a flash on the noid light while cranking.  It does have a CMP and and it has been tested and found good along with the tps voltage.  I Called a company that specializes in injectors and they said they do have the tendency to plug when they sit for a long time and this engine has been out for a while.  Whit plenty of fuel pressure, and the injectors getting the pulse signal i cant help but suspect the injectors.  I have a set coming tomorrow.  We'll see
