quick question
« on: June 04, 2011, 10:16:58 pm »
took out my locking hubs today.   they did not have a small snap ring like others i have done. did have an outer ring but no small axle end sized ring. also my axle does not have a groove for this ring. can anyone tell me why my situation is different? also should i be running without the little snap ring?

Don't have an answer as to why, but I have seen many that don't have that inner ring. Ive even taken trucks apart that one side has it, and the other side doesn't!

You need to remove the rear hub seal to remove the inner wheel bearing.

I use a slide hammer with a hook attachment on it, or and oval punch through from the outside end.
