quad headlight conversion
« on: June 27, 2011, 01:46:17 pm »
for anyone wanting to convert their quad headlights to h4, h1 bulb system, here is a very reasonable source for hella replacement headlights.
http://www.ronthebusnut.com/browseDisp.php?search=&advSearch=&ID=49&order=&lim=20

the hella's are high quality euro lights that are much brighter that the stock headlights. because they have a beam cut off pattern, when properly aimed they do not blind on comming drivers.

Wow, I wish they were this price for the the quad headlights on my 1990 Suburban which has a front end like the picture.  I had to pay $180 for a pair of Hella headlights that would fit but it made a huge difference.

the hella's offered for sale are the 165mm that fit 85 through 87 full size chevy trucks.  the quads on the 88 and up are a different size. hope this helps

Yeah...those are 100 x 165 mm rectangular lamps and for the chevy quads you need the 92 x 150 mm lamps.  No one makes a good set of conversion lamps for these anymore.

I bought a set of 92 x 150 mm Hella lamps less than a year ago however, they were very expensive.

I just swapped my bike over to 7" round Hella head light. $48 for everything.
