swearing on the forum.
« on: July 14, 2011, 07:29:25 AM »
I understand that no one should say ......................... but dang and heck? That's dumb!Another suggestion is,why can't you cause but the big time members talk 2 u like your an idiot and are .....? C10forum isn't like that! Well now ya know my suggestions!

This isn't C10forums and I expect every member to treat others with respect.  Swearing isn't used in respectful conversation so that venue of conversation was eliminated.  BTW, read the posting rules, this got you a 5 day ban (and now you know I am serious.) -admin

I prefer the no cussing environment. Its a TRUCK forum. Not a sailors' dictionary. Chris decided he wanted his forum to be mature and family oriented, because many members of the forum have families and dont necessarily want to be reading a forum full of cause words and porn. If you dont like it, you dont have to be a part of the forum. And, a lot of the time the big shots make good points when it comes to people asking for help and not giving enough details, when the forum specifically states to provide detailed information about your question. Besides, They are experienced mechanics who dont want to waste their time listing 8000 different options in reply to someones question, when It could be fairly easily answered if the poster gave better/more information of what their posting about. I personally like how the forum is and I appreciate the role Chris has taken in running it. And I also appreciate all of the help and information that can be had from the forum. So, Is not being able to cause really that big of a deal?

C10 forum is a different site with different goals.  There may be some good info. there but it is also full of filth and I could never be on that site at home with my kids running around.  I don't see what foul language adds to the conversation about trucks.

So, are you saying that one of the "big time members" talked to you like you are an idiot, but being allowed to swear at them would show everybody that you're not?

Don't need to swear to get your point across, usually. I'm a Marine, so I use swear words to replace the college words I didn't learn.
