OK so i have found a switch right in front of the top piece on my gas pedal since i just learned about the kickdown switch now are the images i have the switch i think the P.O. put the piece of hose on it

thats it. Not sure what the hose is for though. Just make sure its plugged into a siliniod (sp?) on the drivers side of the tranny. Floor it while your driving and you should feel it kick down a gear.

I think hose is some type of homemade adjustment. Doesn't the gas peddle rod strike it from the side.The hose would basically shim it up some to where the gas peddle doesn't have to travel quite so far???

Yes! Thanks for asking this question. I've been laboring under the assumption that the kickdown was wired to the stock carb that I swapped out some time ago. I need to reconnect my kickdown switch!

well today since it was pretty cool out i hooked up my trucks kickdown solinoid to the switch and man did it make a big difference for acceleration in my dually. thanks for the people that helped me find out it neded hooked up
