Un-attached Wire
« on: August 01, 2011, 07:13:24 pm »
So I was under my dash of my 85 and I noticed a brown wire with a white stripe which still has the correct connector on it but not attached it anything. I noticed it under the dash close to the parking brake lever. Anyclue as to what it is and where I should connect it. Also I have a post on here about the horn relay and how i cant found it, i had some pictures but that didnt help me either.

If it is actually a black wire with white stripe, then its a ground and there is a prong on the e brake bracket that it goes on. brown with white stripe is seatbelt light i think.

Maybe I did notice some prongs on the brake, of course there is nothing plugged into them. But I dont know. heck I am still trying to find my horn relay in order to see if that is the problem with that not working.

There should be 6 prongs, those are to ground to. The e brake wire is separate.

This shows the 6 ground points

This shows the parking brake switch, which illuminates your parking brake light. It is the white plastic piece in the back with the hex screw. I had to remove the flasher to take the pic.
