Transfer case shifter linkage
«

My 84 I bought is missing the linkage between the shifter and the actual case. Any ideas where I can pick it up? Can't find any on eBay or craigslist. If some one has one I would be interested in making a deal thanks

Check craigslist for someone parting out a 4x4 truck and contact the person to see what tcasd it has and see if you can get it that way, or check around at a junkyard.

It might work.

I have an np 208 but I have a standard trans. All the linkages I found are for th400 and don't know if it's different

The transfer case shifter has nothing to do with the transmission.

I'm not sure on that.
You could always shorten or make the rod longer. The ends are whats important. Just saying. Depends how bad you want it.

we are just talking about the shifter that sits on top of the transfer case and bolts to it then goes through the floor?

They are very common in salvage yards. If the TH 400 on is longer shortening it would work fine. They are a very simple setup. You could make the whole thing if you are handy with a welder, and have a some boxes / buckets of used hardware around.
A piece round stock with the end threaded would work for the main rod. Bend one end into a 90, drill it for the cotter pin, slide it through the shifter end pop a washer on it, and cotter pin through it. Thread the other end, weld a pin to a nut, drill it the same for the cotter pin.Use two nuts for locking it in place once you have it adjusted correctly.
The second one figure843 posted is what you looking for.

Second on blazin thought, very easy to make one out of common metal if you can not find one at a local junk/pick-n-pull yard.
