A/C hose
«
on:
August 14, 2011, 12:54:35 am »
I'm about to redo my A/C and I have everything except the hose from the condensor to the accumulator, the skinny one that runs across the top or the radiator. I have the other hoses that go to the compressor, but I can't find ths skinny hose anywhere. I need to find one, but I have no idea what its called, and its in none of the usual places, like rockauto, advance, napa... etc
Thanks in advance!

If you find a large shop that services AC systems they might be able to make you one. We have been looking into a crimping machine to do AC hoses at the shop. The salesman told us there are several shops in his selling area that do make there own.

Do you mean the condensor to the evaporator? That's the liquid line. Or do you mean from the compressor to the accumulator? If you can't find them from your vendors try Longs catalog.

Try your local wrecking yard. You'll probably need to replace the tiny O rings, but the tube should be fine.

Im gonna try the local shop tomorrow and see what they say. If not I'll reuse the old hose, as it's not in bad shape, I just wanted to have All new stuff. If i do reuse it it will be the only thing in the syste thats old. I'd like some of that nice barrier hose like came on my new lines to the compressor. they're the goodyear galaxy hose.
I have the new evaporator, accumulator and condensor in there today. maybe I'll get the rest done tomorrow. I found some of the correct driers, so i bought a few for later too.
