10 bolt part diagram
« on: August 20, 2011, 11:06:57 pm »
I picked up a 10 bolt 8 lug axle for 50 bucks. The insides are good, still had fluid. Its outside is covered in surface rust. The passenger short side axle shaft is missing, so is the backing plate, spindle, hub/rotor assembly. Does anybody have a diagram of the front end parts blown up and labeled? I need to know what the parts are called so I can find them to rebuild. Also, if I werr to buy a set of warn locking hubs, what will be included?

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/2497366098.html if I were to get one of these for the spindle, I could bolt a caliper backing plate to the spindle, then install an 8 lug hub/rotor assembly onto thw spindle, correct?

I keep one in the garage and one in the can. My wife keeps trying to throw the one in the can away. She says "This is old" I tell her "That's ok, so is my truck". And besides you never know when you are gonna need to know how something is put together while you are thinking about your truck. lol
