I just picked this one up a few weeks ago.  1978 c-10 with a 350 and a 350 trans.  Runs good just needs the choke rebuilt or a new carb.  The worst part is it had a repaint about 4 or 5 years ago but the rust was not taken care of before paint.  Guess they just sanded it and put bondo everywhere.  Oh well it was cheap enough and will be fixed again without all the bondo. I'll try for some better pictures later this afternoon.

Nice find, too bad about all the bondo.  Luckily from the looks of it these trucks are dirt cheap to rebuild body-wise.  Good luck

Too bad about the rust/bondo.  It looks real pretty from 10'!    Oh well, if they had done it right it would have been more expensive to buy.

Thanks guys, sorry for the delay but I bought a 60" TV last Monday and hauled it home in the stepside! This thing is sweet makes the Xbox games life size.  The more I look at this truck the more rust and rot I see.  Oh well. When I have the winter off of work I should be able to work on it a lot. When not watching the new TV. Some more pictures of it today.

See how the front bumper is higher on the driver side? Anybody know if something is bent or just not installed the correct way? I never had a bumper that way before and what i gathered from the son of the owner was nothing. His dad was/is old and I never met him.

Sweet stepper. Too bad about the rust and bondo, but at least sheet-metal for these trucks is abundant. And if you wanna buy new, I'd go through Capt. The inital's guys stuff aint worth it imo.

Thanks slammed.  It has re pop front fenders(OK), re pop doors(real junky and don't seal at all).  I have a drivers door from a 91 burb that is almost perfect. Just not sure if it will fit the 78. Think it will but not 100%. I think I will reuse the front fenders for now and am looking for a replacement cab and rear fenders. I got a bed minus the wood and supports but with rusty fenders on craigslist about 2 weeks ago. Now I need the fenders for that and a little work on the side panels, reuse my wood and supports and than I will almost have a rust free bed in my basement.  Little by little this thing is going to be ready for a tear down and rebuild/repaint this winter. Hopefully without any real down driving time for it.

I have a pair of doors off of a '91 Suburban that I am putting on my '77 K-30. Before I stripped the cab I bolted the Sub's doors to my cab so that everything would line up after the new paint was applied. I didnt want to have to move the door strike pins, or hinges after the cab was painted. Everything fit like a dream. I almost hit the PA's door perfectly, with only slight adjustment to make it fit.

     As far as the front bumper goes, the holes that hold the brackets on are enlarged most of the time, if you loosen everything up and re-align it and tighten it down, I bet you can straighten it up.
