first off if anyone thinks that a 700r4 is a 3spd with no overdrive please say so.
well ur wrong its a 3spd WITH OVERDRIVE. the guys on dieselbombers forum are trying to argue that there are some regular 3spd 700r4's. i just want to make sure im not going insane here...

As far as I know the 700r4 is a 3 speed with overdrive.  The 200r4 is a 3 speed.

The THM700r4 has 4 gears 3.06, 1.63, 1.00, 0.70 overdrive, the THM200 was a 3 speed auto but very weak, The THM200-4r was a redesigned THM200 with an additional overdrive gear making it a 4 speed auto that in stock form is stronger then a 700r4 and has the benefit of a multi pattern bellhousing, ratios are 2.74, 1.57, 1.00, .67.
