Installing Cab Roof Clearance Lights
« on: October 21, 2011, 08:49:40 pm »
Ok, so I'm new. As my first order of business, does anyone have information about or know where I can get information on the correct mounting location for factory cab clearance lights. My truck doesn't have them but I'm going to put a set on and need the placement information. Thanks ya'll.

I would go to a salvage yard or someone you know that has them and messure it out.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Here is a write up on the lights you are looking for.  look at page 2 for the specific location on placement of lights.

Thanks bake74 but i think the measurements are different. My truck is much older. I have a 79, standard cab, long bed. Bigchevyc30, if your dually is of the same body style as my truck, the measurements would be very much appreciated. If ya'll guys know of any where else I can find the info for around the 79 time period, that would be very much appreciated also. Thanks everyone.

Thanks so much Bigchevyc30. These are the lights that I should be getting. They aren't the originals, but they are super slick looking.

I will just have to make adjustments in measurements if the are to much of a difference in size to the originals. I dought they are to much different though, I'm guessing they are reletively the same size. Thanks again.

That being said, I also offer this advice, 90% of the products I have ever used from them are sub-par quality. I'd look around elsewhere for just about anything you may need for your truck, ESPECIALLY body panels.
