Lifters won't get oil!
« on: November 16, 2011, 09:59:05 pm »
I bought a GM performance 350 crate engine for my truck. I put 'er in, hooked everything up and pre-lubed the engine for about 5 minutes to make sure everything was good and oiled.
I fired it up and I hear KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK...WTH!? So, I find out my passenger side lifters aren't getting any oil pumped through them. Yet, the drivers side is getting oil as it should; WHY?!

How did you adjust the valves? Are you sure it's not getting oil or do you just not see it spurting out?

Update: got oil to the lifters. had to have the distributor in to send oil to the passenger side.
But, it still has a bad knock at idle. could it be a spun rod?
