which factory front springs provide lift

would any one on hear happen to know which years or models( 1/2 3/4 of 1 ton) 4x4 trucks did not have the inverted front springs from the factory ? i was trying to locate a set to lift the front of my 1/2 ton 1980 4x4 and did not know what model of truck to lok for them on

How much of a lift are you wanting and how much ride difference would you allow?

i was wanting 2 or 3 inches of lift and ride dont matter at all to me

Why not just to 2.5 add a leafs? I think rough country makes them

Considering yours is a half ton, 1 ton spings might lift it a bit. I dont know if it would be frowned upon, but maybe you can flip your front springs over and bolt them on so you have a positive ar,h? I dont know if there is any safety issues with that.

Look for a stock 3/4ton with heavy duty brakes (look for the 13inch drums on the rear end).  It will have heavier spring packs front and back.  In the front it is basically just an add-a-leaf though.  I think they would be worth about an inch or two of lift.  You could also get your springs re-arched and use the add-a-leaf kit as mentioned above.

The amount of work put into front spring change isn't worth it if you just going to put negative arch springs back in it, only going to gain a 1/4' to 1/2" with heavy duty factory packs. If you springs aren't sagged out, add one or two rear springs into them. This will get you about 2" to 3" of lift. Then ad one or two in the back, and a block an inch or so tall.I do this to all my plow trucks. Gives it a bit more height, and helps with the weight of the plow.

thanks i can just buy a lift its not that expensive i was just thinking some of them chevys had straight or positivly arched front springs but i must be wrong

If you are wanting 2~3" it will probably be less headache in the long run to go aftermarket.
