That 4k sounds like money well spent. I've always found it strange that here in Mass body shops charge $35 an hour while auto repair shops bill out at $85-$100+ an hour.

Went over to see the progress Friday afternoon, they have the hood, fenders, & bed in primer ready to start blocking them out. The cab and doors are ready for the first primer. Their goal is to have the truck done for me to pick up on Friday the 23rd, would be the best Christmas gift ever, but could be longer if they get busy between now and then. I added a couple of the latest pics.

Just returned from checking in on my truck, they had just painted the fenders, underside of the hood, & the cowl piece. So far everything looks really good, they did a great job with the body work as it was smooth as glass before going in the paint booth. Had thought they might be done with it today but their plan is to paint the cab, doors, and bed on Monday/Tuesday and spend the rest of the week color sanding, buffing, polishing, and reassembly. So, if everything goes as planned I should be able to pick it up on the 30Th. I have all the various parts cleaned/painted etc and ready to put back on as soon as I get it home.

Finally got my truck back from paint on Friday. I think it turned out really good, the only thing is that I'm missing that satisfaction of doing the job myself, next project I might try painting?? Otherwise I'm happy with the work they did and the way it looks. I've started putting it back together and between this weekend and next weekend I hope to get most all the parts reinstalled (hopefully without scratching it). The owner of the body shop had asked me a couple times what my plans were for the inside of the bed as I told them not to paint it, well he had a LineX installed at no extra cost to me, called it a belated Christmas gift! It looks sharp next to all that fresh red paint.

Wow, that looks great.  Even though you did not do it yourself, you got to be happy to have a fresh coat on it and on it's way to being back on the road.

I have the outside pretty much done. Still waiting on a couple pieces of trim that I sent out to be repaired/polished and I don't have the side molding purchased yet. Have a few other little things to do, and a couple things that need some adjusting but otherwise I'm making pretty good progress. Plan to start on some interior work pretty soon, not a lot that needs done there so I hope that part will get done a little quicker.

Well, I finally have the exterior to a point that I'm officially calling it done! Got the new side molding, the tailgate band, & the cab band all installed. Also installed new shocks all the way around and changed my speedometer gears in the transmission so I'm calibrated for the larger tire size. Haven't got to any of the interior work yet but plan to get that started later this month. Took the pic's right at sunset so it looks a little "orange".
