That one I posted picsof from up this way a few months back was a custom job done by a local shop years ago when it was almost brand new. The frame was stretched for that one so it still had a full bed.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Someone somewhere must have documentation of the actual conversion process that was used. They must have had literature especially if it was factory authorized and did not void manufacturer warranty.

I had a guy that said he had a brochure from CVI when he bought his conversion van, that had an extended cab on the cover. He never put it online and never answered and of my messages stating I would pay for a copy. dont kow if he was telling the truth or just spewing hot air.
Another guy that I know, sold them at a dealership and remembers alot about them, but doesnt have any brochures. He said they did have them tho. Im still on the hunt. Ive seen the facility in Arlington where they were made, but its abandonded now. Hopefully one day. I cant even get a straight story on how many were made. I was told 2500 total for all three years (84, 85, 86) but I havent seen any with a build number above 500 add to that the fact that I have found less than 60 that where actually CVI conversion trucks, and of those, & were extended crewcabs. If there were 2500, where did they all go?? I know on 1 extended crewcab and two regular ex cabs that were crushed.I know of one that was done by Western Hauler conversions using a CVI built cab, but they deny ever building one and are pretty crappy as far as even acting like they want to help. I hope some day I will get the truth behind them.

That's weird, we should do a little digging into who was the COO of that company and look him up.

These model extended cab trucks are something that I have never seen in person. Would really be awesome to find one for sale at a resonable price someday. Very Cool !!

I've seen several extended cab 1/2 ton 4x4's in West Texas.  One was for sale recently in a little town east of Lubbock.
