Ok guys, here I go again!
Slightly undecided which servo/booster/M-cylinder I need.
If you've read previous, I had a new one sent over, thought I had the right one and binned the complete old unit. New one is wrong and I have nothing to reference to.

Does the pipe in the picture dictate more acurateley which type of system I have? It's going onto the C30 454.

The C30's I know all had hydroboost assist.  What you have pictured is the vacuum line to a vacuum power brake set up, like from a C20

Cheers Zieg, that was the only pipe that came out of it (vacuum). If it was a hyrdoboost, would it have additional pipes?

Hydroboost looks totally different and runs off the power steering pump as opposed to vacuum from the engine.

Ok, you need everything that bolts to the firewall...  I wish you were closer, I have one complete sitting on a shelf and I can't remember if the power booster has the bracket bolted or a part of it.  If you have to start from scratch a set up with the highest GVW rating with vacuum assist booster.  My C20 is the 8600 GVW which may be the heaviest duty 3/4 ton in 1985.   Both my 1985 C20 and C30 are listed as the same 8001-9000 GVW but one is the vacuum boost and the other hydraboost...

I wished I lived closer too. I must have paid over $2000 in shipping and a further $1500 in import tax. And the cost of the parts makes it pretty expensive hobby!

Think I've seen a recon unit for $120 so that'll do. I'll try and sell the one I've got here in the UK. If I sent it back I'd still have to pay the shipping so effectivly I'd be out of pocker further. Live and learn!

Would you know if the bore is 1" or 1.125" ?

Struggling now to find a combo kit that can be shipped today. Tried Summit & Cardone. Anyone else you know?

honestly don't know but the answer has to do with what brake booster/brake system is in the truck.  The fact you are replacing both the master and booster I would think as long as the 2 mate up you are good to go.  Bigger is always better if the booster can be matched to it.  My $.02

No, I don't have the rod. I disconnected it from the brake pedal, unbolted from the firewall, took the brake pipes out and binned the lot!!

Does it matter which bore I get if I get a booster/master cylinder kit complete?

Will they both marry up to the pedel and the existing brake pipes?

Almost at the stage of thinking Flintstone to stop  :-\

I would think that there wouldnt be any difference. any size bore should work.
