Couple of questions to clear things up so we can give the right advice.  Is your window manual or power ?
You said it was hard before, is/does the window appear to be not aligned properly or leaning to one side or the other ?
When replacing the felt runners, did you happen to look at the internal guides and mechanical arms to see if they were bent at all and moving freely ?
Last question, if you did not take off the door panel, you probably should and inspect/clean the mechanical arms is manual windows and if power you should check to see if the motor is wearing out and weak.

Manual is the door panel is off
it had to tight spot it in before bout 3/4 of the way up .My son took the bolt out of the runner that held it to the door frame maybe he put it back too lose or tight ???

I would check that first, also I would slowly roll it up and down and watch to see if anything is catching or binding inside.  More than likely you will find this to be the case, maybe something is bent just enough to cause the bind 3/4 of the way up.

Take you time and begin to loosen things up a bit (one thing at a time) and try rolling it up slowly. Watch what moves. Mine was doing the same thing and it needed adjusted outward just a bit. You can do that with washers or shims. When it binds, you can loosen different points and you'll soon find where the pressure is.

Is this last 1/4" as the top of the glass is entering the top seal?
or
Is this the last 1/4" before the top of the glass even gets to the top seal?

As the glass enters the top seal, it can make the rolling seam a bit tougher if the seal is new and tight.

i had to spray silicone in the channels and run 'em up and down a few times every day for a week or so before they would hit the very top.  Guess the channels are just tighter than that old motor can take till theyre broke in.

X2 with sleepchamber. Just make sure it's silicone that you use and not something that will damage your new seals

Use sil glyde in the channels and adjust the run channel as it is slotted to allow for adjustment. Make sure the regulator and rollers are lubed too. If it's clunky replace the regulator.
