where can I find shorty headers for 78 stepside?

  I have looked through old posts and at various suppliers online but i cannot find any shorty headers for my truck.
 It is 1978 big 10: sbc 350 w/a.c.  p.s. automatic with column shift and will get a 700r4.

I did read that post, however they are no longer available. Are you saying any 3/4 length sbc headers for a comparable year chevelle/malibu will work for me?

Yes the early Chevelle headers and Elcamino's will work on our trucks.  As will the 88-99 C/K trucks from what I hear.

The 88-95 Headers do work with slight clearance on the top frame rail on the drivers side. http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php/topic,6779.0.html
