TODAY is a Great Day to visit our Store and order the parts you need for your truck ! ! !
I have found ONE exception to this rule. MY MOTHER SLAMS THE CRAP out of my truck doors when she rides with me. I figure, she knew my truck 3 years before I was born, but besides that, THATS MY MOM. I Don't have it in me to $#@% her out. It'll NEVER happen. I don't even mention it to her anymore, because it makes her feel bad. If my mom slams my door hard enough a speaker pops out, she'll never EVER hear about it. The rest of ya... I'll get my revenge on ya... I'd say my Dad too, but he's like I am on this subject, so he's as gentle as possible on my truck, as I am his. Mom don't care about no car except the point A to point B thing. That's my mom, She gets an exception. It's like the old saying (except for mom) IN God WE TRUST! EVERYONE ELSE PAYS CASH! ha!
The other explanation i can come up with is that most newer cars are so airtight that you sort have to use some force in order to close the door fully. If it bothers you then i might suggest making a small sticker that you can put either on the window or door sill that reads "please do not slam doors."
Just had to share. In my opinion, slamming doors has all to do with your personality. I say this because I'm a student of personality traits. Me, my brothers and my dad all have similar personalities and we all get freaked out about slamming doors. My wife is completely opposite of me and she's a door slammer and like your mother, only cares about point A to point B. My older son inherited my personality and he is easy on doors, although he does'nt get freaked out like I do. My younger son, well........he inherited my wife's personality and you guessed it. He's a door slammer. I also think driving style is linked to personality. Heck, I may write a book about this. Probably already out there. LOL
