Pages loading slow

Is anyone else having issues with pages loading slow on the forum? My download speed is about 35Mbps and I'm not having issues with any other sites. It seems to load pages much quicker using Chrome but still slow... Curious how it is for everyone else.

That happens here every so often too. Not today though. Usually I have a delay when I start a page and once it decides to load it loads like normal.

I noticed this immediately with Facebook integration on this site.  Never had a problem before Facebook came to roost.  Now I consistently get a "Loading..." message as the Facebook icons install one-at-a-time.

This started for me as well when facebook was added.  Went from 3 seconds a page to 10 or 12.  When I use Ubuntu Linux with Firefox its just as fast as it used to be.  Also fast at work where Facebook is blocked, but I try not to get on from there often.

Yeah its been slow for me the past few months too.

     I use Chrome also and it has slowed down mostly during busy times, when I get on at 3 am my time it is not affected, but like now it is slower.

This is exactly when it started for me as well.

Chris, Are there too many add-ons running or something?

Mozilla Firefox on my laptop and Google Chrome on my desktop.  Both are real slow at times with nothing else running when I have the site going.

I'm on a Mac with Safari and it's about the same as before.

I haven't noticed anything slow.  If you are behind a firewall say at work and they are filtering your content, it will be slow.

The site loads way faster at work than my two computers at home, and I have a pretty fast connection.  They block facebook.  At home I get:  waiting for plusone.google.com and waiting for facebook.plugins or something like that--over and over.  I just loaded Firefox back up on my laptop and this site is super fast now.  Again this is something that started recently (past couple of months).  No biggie, I'll use Firefox.
