Ignition power wire?

Does anyone know what wire on the steering column gets power when the ignition key its in its complete forward position? Got the other column on and I still can't start the truck with the key. What gives?

Check to make sure the neutral safety switch works and is connected.

Ok. I left the column down when I tested the key. The neutral safety switch is connected and it clicks. Is there another way to test it?

With an Ohm meter you should have a closed connection in both Park and Neutral.  It is open all other times.  To test if it is bad, jump the two wire plug with a paper clip...

Ok so just did the checks you suggested with the ohm meter and the paper clip. The switch has resistance but the paper clip trick didn't do anything:( guess I'm chasing electrical grimblins

I'm going to ohm check the fuseable links at the starter and see if they are good

If either of the yellow or purple wire are supposed to have voltage when the key is turned foward... they don't. Hope this helps.

Got it:) it was the ( I think) its called) ignition start switch that needed to be adjusted. I took the old one off my other column when I got this one and didn't adjust it. Got it fixed! Thanks!
