I was told to never use RTV on those end gaskets by my mechanic buddy. He also suggests only use RTV on the front oil pan instead of the gasket. I have only done a few and have never had a leak following his advice. My $.02
My motor,chevy 350 has just a thick gob of rtv right in that area...and one of my magazines show them building a motor and they said not to use the rubber gasket just a thick gob of silocone
Or..... wait to have Vile and/or Blazin reply as I personally wouldn't be afraid of their advice...
True...I'm in no rush...just trying to get everyones opinions, besides this will be the third time I've takin off the intake (for various reasons) and want to make it my last:)
