I've got one for my truck but then under my Avenger I also have another one for my truck that shows more of my previous systems and my other vehicles systems over the years.

I didn't want to cut holes in the dash or doors so I installed all the stereo stuff behind the seat. Still need to clean up the wires, drill holes in the MDF plywood to run the wires through.

Ok, so here's my current setup. the 4x6s just replaced the ancient speakers in those boxes originally, left them where they were and added 6x9s in the cab corners, all new wiring going to the jvc headunit on the cieling...speakers are sony 4ways. all of the speakers and the head unit were salvaged from my s10 blazer after I rolled it...as well as 2 10" kenwoods which will be added eventually.

74 gmc if its not to much to ask can i see a couple diff. angles of your speaker setup andcan  i get details on your sub size, speaker layout, etc more info the better as i am starting this project now i like the layout of your setup does your seat go all the way back?

Sure, I'll get you some pics as soon as I can. I believe the seat goes all the way back but maybe one notch up. I'll get some info together shortly.

Sorry for the late reply, been gone with work. So the seat is one notch from the farthest back, I'm 6' 2" and I still have room with this set up. The subs are 2 10" with 6" components mounted roughly on a 45. The amps, component speakers are mounted on 3/4 MDF, easy to work with and looks good. I used some metal braces that I bent into a L shape to hold the MDF in place, very solid and worked nicely. Like I said before I plan on drilling holes in the MDF and running the wirs behind to clean it up. Also plan on making a cap on top of the corner speakers to seal it all in. This set up does sound really good, I'm happy with it, and best of all no holes in the doors.

Where did you get that dash kit for your CD player? Is it hard to remove old bracket and put that new plastic stuff in there?

My stereo build is here. My seat is all of the way back and clears the cone of the subs by a half an inch. I need to get a bigger amp.
