Insurance

So, when I got my truck othe road I put my truck.in my dads name and he insured it and im.driving.it under "permissive use" because if it was in my name id be paying alot for insurance. He registered my truck in globe at his uncles address for emissions purposes and its also insured in globe. Since globe is a fairly low population, my insurance has only cost 20 bucks a month. I figured it was limited liability, but my mom just informed me that its full coverage with windshield insurance and roadside, etc. Anyone else getting an amazing deal on insurance?

Not even close
$ 150.00 every six months ( full coverage ) through State Farm, Metro Phoenix.
this is after multi vehicle discount and an excellent record.

I pay about $25.00/month for my 74, but it is not listed as my daily driver and is only allowed so many miles a year, until I get the rebuild done.

I think my 1986 cost about $600 for the last year for liability and fire/theft insurance.
If I were to get my dad to insure it as a farm truck it would likely be about $150/year.
If I keep my record clean (no more speeding tickets) then it should drop a little more every year.

yeah but whats the deductibles?. i had my first impala full coverage with geico in my name for 90 bucks a month. once i got into a accident i found out i had a 10k deductible and about 6k in medical bills that i had to pay for. that being said i now have statefarm. have almost the same impala my 79 and 94 and pay 120 for me and wife with only a couple hundred for deductible, full only on the impala.

If its the same as my parenta other vehicles, it should only be a 250 deductible.

My gut feeling is that it's better to keep it in your name-----because if something happened your dad could and would be sued. Why burden him?
How much would it be if it was in your name?
BTW, i have been to globe----interesting place.
