Swamp 350TH to 400TH
« on: May 13, 2012, 11:13:58 pm »
Will I be able to just put a 400TH from an RV right into my truck with a 350TH and have no issues?

You're going to have to do some modifications.
The amount of modifications will depend upon whether it is a 2wd or 4wd.
Either way, the first item to come to mind is the electric kickdown switch (TH400) versus cable operated kickdown (TH350).

output splines are probably going to be different. You will need the bracket, and switch off the gas pedal assembly for the electric kickdown. You will need to wire it up. Move the cross member most likely, probably change the length of the drive shaft.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
