have an 83 Chevy with a TBI V8. Not sure if it's a 350 or 305. The numbers on the front are K0615FBC and under that is CH7179158. I can't find the FBC on any of the suffix code websites. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If it is the original motor you might be able to look it up using the VIN.

It's not original. It was a 305 carb truck originally. I think it came out of an early 90's chevy. I will look behind the distributor for block numbers tomorrow. I thought you could tell by the numbers on the front behind the alternator bracket.

It should have a 5.0L or a 5.7L on it.

10054727 1986-up 350 2/4 one piece rear seal, some "Made in Canada"
K0615FBC
K St. Catherines, Ontario
06 = June
15 = 15th
No idea on the FBC suffix. Does it really matter? It is just a regular 350 Block like all the others.
