TH400 yoke
« on: June 11, 2012, 12:47:11 am »
Can a turbo 400 tranny with the bolt in yoke be changed to a slip yoke? The reason I am asking is because I am not sure if I should go with a one piece driveshaft or a two piece.

I don't remember off hand but I think there is a yoke available for this.

I think I remember the rear internal output shaft is different between the bolt on and slip yoke type TH400.  I read it somewhere but I can't remember the source.

I think this is what you're looking for:

http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/p69_t_400__4l80_transmission_slip_yoke_1310_series_32_spline_wth.html

From the site:

1310 Series 32 spline T-400 & 4L80 Transmission Slip yoke specifically designed to be used on a T-400 & 4L80 with the Threaded Hole in the center of the Output shaft.  1310 Series 32 spline T-400 & 4L80 Transmission Slip yoke specifically designed to be used on a T-400 & 4L80 with the Threaded Hole in the center of the Output shaft.  This design will replace the truck style bolt on yoke with a car style slip yoke and allow for proper slip travel and bushing contact for best performance.  With this slip yoke you can now use a normal car style driveshaft.

Part #:  2060662   $125.95 each
