separated rear 3/4 ton spring

I bought an 86 Chevy 3/4 4X4 this winter, I'm not trying to get fancy with it, just restore/replace anything that needs it back to factory specs.  The left rear leaf spring(8leafs) is a little separated, it is causing the left rear side of the truck to lean a little.  It has a hefty pair of helpers on top, so I imagine it was overloaded at some point and just over stretched the pack.  I'm trying to find the best route to replace both rears.  If I go to a spring shop could they produce an exact replica of the factory set for me, or should I just order them from  ?  They seem to charge a lot for shipping though.  I could def go the cheap route and hit up a junk yard, but I think a new set would look sharp. 

Be gentle, I'm new at this restoring thing, any info would be helpful.  Thx

Contact the local spring shop and see what they'd charge.  If they can't reproduce what you have, they should be able to get it.
Personally, I'd get a good set (inspect and make sure they're not in the same condition as yours) from a junkyard, pull them apart and clean 'em up.  If nothing else the spring shop could hook you up with a new centerbolt and u-bolts.

I'm not around much, or much into the "proper" restoring, just keeping them going.

I'm with ya, I'm only replacing things that need fixed, it's in great stock shape as is so pretty much already how I want it.   I'll start looking around for a good spring shop, and maybe call some junkyards.  Thanks for the reply.
