young and dumb from OR
« on: August 28, 2012, 09:58:28 pm »
Hello Hello. I just bought what I hope is my first of many Chevy trucks. It is a '85 Silverado C-10 long bed with about 125k miles. Its got a 305 with a thm350. I bought it from the original owner who thought the $995 that I paid him for it was still worth as much as it was in '85.

Besides the grill, I am yet to find anything in this truck that is not original. I'd love to do some upgrades and fix a few things in the interior except I don't know a thing about trucks or cars. I never took mechanics in high school, and that type of class wasn't offered in college.

I attached a couple pictures, will someone yell at me if they are too big please.

Welcome from Alaska.  Nice clean truck.  I've always liked the rallye wheels on these pickups.

That looks like a nice truck for $1k.  Do you have pics of the interior and engine?  You will find lots of friendly people and very good information on this board.  Don't be afraid to ask questions.
