fuel pressure gauge advice

need to check fuel pressure, i was only able to find a Mr. gasket 0-15 psi which says "do not use on FI systems". i know the fuel pressure on my 87 305 TBI should be about 9-13 psi so is the gauge i got ok? also the gauge does not come with any fittings so i will need some sort of hose/adapter/fitting kit.

i didn't realize how difficult it was to find a lousy fuel pressure gauge with a lower scale reading, went to pep boys,auto zone,napa and one small good independent where i finally got the 0-15 non FI gauge, and nobody had fittings.
was shocked the the small Mr. gasket 0-15 psi cost $35 but from what i hear that a good quality gauge so i wouldn't want to ruin it if my system has too much pressure. 

i sure don't miss the days of driving all around the county to track down one part. i am very thankful for the internet!

I use the Kent-Moore equivalent of this...

You can also use the 7665 adapter modified with a 1/4" SAE flare fitting, an R12 A/C hose, and a 0-15 or 0-20 PSI pressure gauge procured from an industrial supply distributor.

Of course, these aren't the only options.

As TBI units fade into history, so do readily available repair solutions....  Nonetheless, solutions are available.  And, they don't need to be pricey!

The reason the Mr. Gasket one says not for FI is to protect against idiots.  Modern MPFI systems run 40-50 PSI which will cause those little Mr Gasket thing to pop and shoot fuel out everywhere.  Your older TBI system will not have that problem.

Instead of trying to differentiate TBI from SFI, MPFI, DI  systems, they just say don't use on FI.
