leaf spring lowering

i have a 1986 c10 that i wanna lower. i belive the front has 2 in drop spindles. i have air shocks in the back also. i has wondering if anyone has pulled leafs out of the rear to lower. i have 6 leafs along with lowering shackles. can i pull leafs out and just buy different u bolts? its my daily driver so i need to do it in 1 shot cause i cant drive if this truck is torn apart. thanks

Yes you can however if they're in rough shape you may end up with a broken set of leaves. If you still plan to use your truck as a truck then don't do it. If you want good traction then don't do it.

Best econonmical drop I would say 2" drop spindles, cut 1.5 coil, use stock shackles and get a flip kit.

oh ok, they're actually in great shape the truck was never worked and dosent know what rust is. i dont haul anything with it, can i run the flip kit without doing a c notch?
