Any difference year wise on bed sides?

I found this add and contacted the seller about it.


Turns out it has a round gas tank hole. I don't care about that, I will fill it anyway. My question is about fit. I want to put this on an 84 bed. Is there a difference where the tail gate mounts or anywhere else?

The filler hump in the bed is different on them also, nothing you can't fix....  Short of the filler opening, there is no difference though.  (on a short bed)

Thanks Capt. I also talked to Blazin about the tail gate and he thought the difference was all in the hardware.
I am going to try and pick this up tomorrow. I think that it will be worth those few mods compared to what I would have to do to the the original bedside to repair it. Also if something better comes along before I use it then I think this will be money in the bank.

IF it is an original side, the 1973-1974's has different mounts than the others....  I don't know of anyone making a specific 1973-1974 bedside...

Thirsty,  the vent visor with the lights is the best one in my opinion if you can find one.  I have been looking with no luck for one.

I've got one on my truck already. It was on my original cab.
I was just teasing Vile because he loves them so much. If you compare his 74 build to my 86 build I don't have much to bust his balls about...Except I like my old visor and it makes him a little nauseous.

I know how he is with them.  He has a whole stack of them just to keep people from putting them on the trucks.  I wish I could get one from him just to have one lol.
