AC and Heater cover/take out

Sup guys, not sure if this its the rigt place to post my question,but here i go.
I was thinking on taking out all the AC stuff, i never use it and dont think i ever will, so ill need something to cover the firewall, also was thinking on taking out the heater part to inside the cab,just trying to clean the truck has much i can..
anyone done this before?

I have a friend that did this to his truck. In my opinion it looks weird. The Ac stuff I can see removing if not used...but the blower motor housing I'm not sure about. But I guess it depends on what you do with the empty space or how you cover it. His just has a piece of small gauge steel bolted over the hole.

Yes. Its 12g steel. Real thin. Cut it and bolted it.

I got rid of the A/C but kept heat, bent, welded, riveted this eye sore under my hood...

I like this "eye sore" idea. Did you use any part of the original a/c box, or just fab a total new box?
I need to keep the heater. Drive this truck just about every day.

I literally used channel locks, chisels, a knife and a die grinder to cut back the A/C and heater box apart (because its all gummed onto the firewall) and removed the condensor but only cut the plastic/fiberglass outer shell back close enough to the blower housing that i could mould the eyesore to it, used some rtv as a sealer and riveted it right to the firewall!
