How do you fill your tank?

I'm in California (not sure if it differs in other states), and the vapor catching apparatus on the fuel nozzle makes it very difficult to set into the perfectly vertical fuel inlet, how do you guys deal with this problem, if it is one for anyone else?

Is your fuel tank vented?

There has been other threads on this, us in Ca. Have trouble with the fuel vapor spout on the gas pumps with these older trucks.
I have to turn it sideways and out just a little bit, which means I can not run the pump at full speed, but it will fill the tank without spilling if you go slower.

Sometime upside down, sideways, whichever way gets it to work. Lol

I have mine out halfway, and turned sideways and I rest it on the square door, so the top of the spout is facing the rear of the truck. works pretty good!

A lot of people have this problem and it's not rocket science. If the fuel tank isn't vented what's going to happen when you try to push fuel into the tank? It's going to spit back. The only alternative to venting is you then have is to put it in real slow manipulating the pump handle to allow the tank to vent when fueling.
