I didn't answer the poll because I'm not sure the stock crossmember mounting fits any of those.  I have seen a lot of pictures that leads me to believe that my '83 c10 has a very common crossmember mounting.  The driver's side goes under the frame and up the outside, bolting underneath and through the side.  The passenger side rests on the bottom of the frame rail and bolts through the bottom.  There is a bolted on "wing" that goes under the top part of the frame and bolts on there.
Your truck is a 4x4, right?  Was that what you intended the poll to be for?

My 77 1500 was bolted on bottom stock looking. 84 bolted bottom. Stock a 2500 frame I had 79( I think) bolted bottom. Stock looking. All 4x4 77 350/208 79 unknown auto. 84 sm465/208

I don't see a poll.
I guess it's a Tapatalk thing?

All I know is the the crossmember on my suburban is below the tail in the transmission and stretches between the frame rails. I've never looked at it close enough to know how it's attached.

was talking to my buddy and he said all the 4x4s he seen where resting inside the frame rail. maybe this is more of a transmission deal?

i mean if you look at this picture
the cross member has dual bolt holes for either way, i just dont understand why or when they did change this is on a 86 k5
