I've got the tank from my '87 v20 bolted to my k20 for safe keeping until I can swap the TBI 350 out of the v20, and I thought I had a brilliant idea..I'd like to use the 87 tank for extra fuel "storage". I assumed I could mount a toggle switch in the cab, energize the pump, and fuel would flow across the rubber line running across to the other tank...but first, I decided to throw a continuity tester on the pump wiring and make sure neither wire grounds out (I attached a ground strap from the sending unit retaining ring to the frame of the truck already)..problem is, both the pink wire AND the brown/white wire show a short to ground...I can't imagine the pump should show that its grounded out, should it?
Thanks in advance.
