Well, that makes sense. A right-hand turn needs the secondary drive wheel to go faster then the primary around the corner, and with the axle locked, that's gonna maximize the stresses. A left-hand turn wouldn't do it, since the secondary drive wheel is going slower then the primary in that direction.Anyway, mine is 35 years old, has 150,000+ miles on it, and has given me no trouble at all. YMMV.
Eaton is good because you can rebuild it unlike the Auburn. Mine is a Yukon brand eaton style, I got it from Quick Performance.
