1978 Chevrolet SEMA truck

One of my buddies was at the SEMA show this year, Chevrolet factory restored a 78 truck and put their new E-rod engine trans combo in it. Very interesting read!

Man that is so awesome. I can't even begin to explain.

Now for the Autoblog site.......

Who are their readers? I read some of the comments under that article. Wow, the haterz!?!?

How could you hate in something like this? I can't begin to comprehend why the haterz have to fill up the comments page when a story is done on something like this.

There must be some real miserable people in this world. Douchebags, everyone of them, that was hating on this truck. Those people need to get a life. And to further prove my point, the 73-87 Chevy/GMC truck is still in abundance all over the US. If it was as bad as the comments suggest you wouldn't see them in mass numbers like you do.

I challenge anyone to look around and do your own unscientific study. The GM C/K trucks from 73-87, and the GMT-400 trucks from 1988-1998 out number their competition from their respective eras. That includes the imports.

And go a step farther by comparing GM trucks to any car line. I challenge anyone to find me a car make/model that survives that is more than 10 years old.

Haterz can just hate on GM trucks, my guess is that the hate is rooted in some sort of embacillic jealousy.

Saw it and loved it..  They are touching all platforms.  Nice for the 73-87's to get  some love.

Very cool but why not a factory steering wheel? The one they chose doesn't fit the build and is ugly. Would have looked so much better with the factory wheel.

I seem to find this trend where people who immediately bash older vehicles, know absolutely nothing about cars to begin with. They want brand new because if it's old, something might need replacing...and then what would they do!?! I feel bad for these kinds of people.

Aside from the lame comments, it's the sweetest shortbox 4x4 I've ever seen.

They do sell the engine and trans combo,  along with the computer and everything else needed to make it run.  All you need to do is provide the fuel and electrical.  Look up the Connect & Cruise Powertrain from GMPP.

Very nice truck!  I have to say that I love the steering wheel too (sorry Vile).  I would choose that wheel over my stock one in a heartbeat.

To me it doesn't match anything in the truck but hey I'll take that over a visor or some other annoying add on lol Maybe if the wheel was black but still meh...
