Getting rain-x Off Glass
« on: January 27, 2014, 04:31:48 pm »
How do I remove the rain-x off my glass?

I love rain-x and will continue using it all the time.  my problem is I have a sticker I want to put on my rear window, and I think the Rain-x is making it not stick to the glass so I can't get it off the paper when you stick it to the glass and then peel the paper off.

This is for my impala.  I got a "I AM THE STIG" Sticker for it, and it won't stick...

I rain-x ed the car 2 weeks ago...

I put a new sticker on my truck but it hasn't been rain-x ed for 6 months.  sticker on the truck did fine.  car, not so much.

So what removes rain-x?  its silicone based.  denatured alcohol doesn't work.  or any alcohol for that matter...

can this work or do I have to wait 6 mos?  lol 8)

try acetone or finger polish remover.  Just don't get it on the paint or rubber gasket

I might have, but I cannot get into the usa top gear...  I like the uk top gear 100x better.  Jeremy Clarkson is my favorite.  I just love listening to him.

Don't get me wrong UK is better but when they go to other countries they use that countries stig. In USA it was a redneck getting out of a mobile home with a beer belly in Africa it was a young skinny guy wearing only a sheet around him
