no lift or 2 inch lift and tire size
« on: February 07, 2014, 09:24:11 pm »
just curious what the biggest tire set up I can run without lifting it is.  Guy at the store told me 31 x 10.5.  I am also wondering if I lift it a couple inches what my options are.  I'd like to get to 12 or 12.5 wide.  I'm new to this, always a Mustang Cobra guy but trying to learn the basics.   :)

V10 87 custom deluxe 4x4.  GVWR?  I want a pre-runner look without the front plate etc.  Just a fast 4x4.  I was actually thinking of dropping it 2 inches and running with 31x12 tires to get the look I'm aiming for.

     GVWR= Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

   Knowing and understanding GVWR,  the maximum weight of passengers and cargo you can safely carry in your truck.  If you are going to tow something.  GVWR is the total combined weight of truck and trailer, including all passengers, fuel, fluids and cargo. GVWR is constant and does not change, regardless of what you tow. It’s engineered in when the vehicle is manufactured.

gvwr the higher rating the more springs/lift it will have. since its only a v10 it wont be that high, if you want a fast 4x4 dont change the tire size cause it will slow your take off down if you want to drop it 2" forget about 31s

stock 4x4 you can def get at least 32's on it, 31's if going offroad with mind to articulation.  2" lift and you can have 33's
