Aftermarket Dash Bezels
« on: February 10, 2014, 06:09:17 pm »
Hi there, I have an 87 R10 that I'm building, as most of you you probably know Autometer makes a 5" Speedo and Tach. This isn't the biggest problem, as I could just cut the holes bigger. However the shift indicator right above the column (PRND21) is in an arched hole. Since I will be removing the instrument cluster I will need an aftermarket solution for this as well. There are tonnes of straight digital read outs that I can find but nothing that I can really see working with this and looking clean. Before I go spending hours on end building a custom bezel I thought I would see if anyone out there has heard of any aftermarket solutions to suit this need?  :D

I've found a lot of those but the problem is the hole is still open for the shift indicator..  :(

The only way I know how to do it is buying a digital speedo or tach that can display gear location and has "brain" box that tells it what to show. Dakota digital sells one for your their info center in the speedo.
