I need one rear shock please help

1985 1/2 ton 6" lift, I took shocks off too paint and one is bad. I can't find only one, only pairs. Can someone please direct me to site for one shock. The old one has "Eliminator" on it (Rancho). But nothing comes up when I search. I need one rear shock. THANKS

It's generally a bad idea to replace only one shock.  They should be replaced in pairs to keep them in balance.

Look on eBay or just replace the pair like you should

Well if common sense tells you that you're going to get the answer you don't want to hear because it's the right answer then ask yourself where the problem lies.

Thanks Einstein but I didn't ask if I needed 2 shocks. I ask where I could find one, having trouble problem solving???

     WOW, I am assuming that by his high number of post that you know he has been on here for some time, and he has helped more members than anyone.  He did tell you to look on e-bay to see if you could find just 1.
     With that being said, fist off we ( those of us that have 73-87 full size trucks ), can not readily use the internet to check on manufactures websites for our year trucks, they do not support them, they only have so much room in their programs and choose to list newer vehicles.
     Second, I bet if you went into somewhere who sells rancho suspension kits and ask them for 1 shock, they will tell you the same thing.  Depending on where you live they might sell you just 1 shock.  I do know a safe bet is they are going to try to get you to buy at least 2.  Your shock might not be sold anymore, but they would have the means to look up in their manuals a comparison shock and hopefully it would match close enough.

Take a deep breath, this isn't that big of a deal.  Provide a little more info. so we can try to help.  Are you only wanting to replace one shock because you are certain the other is good for some reason?  Is it just to save a little money?  I have no idea where to get one matching shock like you asked, but would you be opposed to just buying a little cheaper pair of shocks?
