Rough Idle At First, Then Smooth. (VID)

First start of the day, or after letting it completely cool down, my engine idles rough like it has a cam in it (it doesn't that I know of).
After a few minutes of this the roughness speeds up and eventually idles at 2k even until I tap the gas. (electric choke)
My question is what could be causing this rough cam like idle when the engine is cold?

Edelbrock SP2P intake manifold
Hedman headers.

Just a guess, but it sounds like your lifters are collapsing and it's taking a few minutes for the oil pressure to build them back up to full height.

How would I got about fixing this? And could this be a damaging issue?
Also, the other it was doing this at the light and when I hit the gas to go it died. I started it back up and rested my foot on the throttle at 2k for about 30 seconds. It was fine the rest of the day after that.

I would look into carb/choke adjustment. For starters make sure your electric choke is opening correctly. Check the float level. Make sure your accelerator pump is not leaking by.

I have an electric choke the PO connected directly to the alternator. Would this be a possible cause? Where should it be connected to?
Im new to Carbs so how would you check the float level and where is the accelerator pump?

The chock wire should be hooked to "Keyed" power. (Only hot when the key is on) Does the engine still run rough after it warms up?

Im new to Carbs so how would you check the float level and where is the accelerator pump?

     Sounds to me like you need someone to look at it with you, maybe if you knew a mechanic or someone who has done something like this before.
     Both of these solutions that BADAZ chevy guy and thirsty suggested seems to be out of your range of mechanical skills right now (do not mean to knock your skills at all), but by your answer's and the fact that everything suggested is a little more complicated than the average basic skill person can do without doing more harm than good. 
     You already said you are new to carb's and carb's can be tricky to tear into depending on which one you have.  Also have you ever tore into a engine before ? 
     I am not saying that either of these suggestions are beyond your capability to learn, but you do not want to add to the problem and then have someone who you have to pay to come behind and have to fix multiple problems, I do that all day long and it takes way longer to fix someones mistakes first so you can get to the real problem.
     Again, and I can not stress this enough, I am not knocking you at all, just my observations on the questions and answer's that I have read.

#2: There is no such thing as impossible, it just takes longer.

Good advice, bake74. I remember the first time a tore into a Q-Jet.
The difference then was that carbs were easy to find. And guys who knew them were also easy to find.

I have torn into engines. I'm just used to FI. I typically always do my own work on my vehicles.

Like you guys said there can more damage done if someone doesnt know what they are doing which is why I'm asking questions. I appreciate all the help.

     Then go here in our technical pages for the manuals for all our trucks.
     Also, any chilton or such book from a parts store will guide you with the lifters and how to adjust, also online there are manuals for carb's and how to service them depending on which one you have.
