Well I just got done talking to a guy who owns his own sandblasting business, and he is going to meet me at the shop tomorrow early afternoon to check out the 1 ton axles he will be blasting and the entire frame of the truck as well. Even though I sanded polished and painted it, I'm going to have the cab removed and the frame sandblasted professionally as well as the axles, then primer and coat and paint it real good and sharp looking, plus every last spec of rust will be entirely gone after the sandblasting, which is totally awesome.
Here in about an hour or so I'm going to leave from the mountains into the city to meet this man that's interested in my iron oval port heads, roller cam, roller rockers and the carter 750cfm carb, so hopefully he buys all of it! So I can keep this project moving along ! I will post up what happened today with selling the old stuff, and I will also post tomorrow after meeting with the guy who will be  sandblasting the truck. Hopefully it's all for a good price :-)  found him on craigslist !

Here are some more pics of the block this time on the engine stand :-) ... And old heads,,, old rods, but keeping the new flat top pistons that are forged with valve reliefs, also SOLD my old carb today! And the same man who bought the carb, I am trading my old rods for a nice oil pan that is bigger than this one, and it holds quite a bit more oil. It's supposedly really nice from what he is saying so this upcoming week I will trade him for that new oil pan, it's a truck factory gm oil pan from what he was saying and this oil pan is a passenger car oil pan because the motor is a high perf passenger big block 454 and we need a oil pan that will fit underneath there... And this one will bolt right up to the new block. He also has an oversized radiator and two electric fans that I will be buying from him! And at a good price so that's great that I met this guy it's definitely a God thing and I'm able to trade parts for parts I need and that's just the icing on the cake right there for me. That helps out so much. Parts should be arriving soon with the heads arriving last unfortunately but that's ok! I wanted to post some new pics on things as is long overdue !

Okay some inside/outside cab pics that I haven't posted up yet, rust on rocker panels will be repaired as it is eating away for sure  ,,, I will clean and detail the interior and order a dash pad from our website and get a few trim items like the hideous blue door handles taken off and new swapped in

Underneath the cab I still need to strip off the old paint , and rust ( remove cab ) sandblast , clean , and paint the sm465 and the np205 transfer case a nice copper color same color as the truck and make it a nice two tone copper and black combo, or orange and black.... Still deciding on that. frame will get sandblasted and painted with good paint this time around and not rustoleum paint cans even though I layered the heck out of it with primer and gloss black , I am not fully satisfied with how i still need the middle section stripped coated and painted , so it's all getting sandblasted . everything we can blast will be. while the blaster has his equipment at the shop we are building the truck at. I will go out and get some good paint/ products and go to it and just paint everything myself to save costs....

Powder for powder coating everything will be ordered from prismatic powders.com they have quite a large selection and it's great looking stuff..  Really love this copper color on the first pic, the 2nd pic is a little different but both look sweet I think ... I think I will use this color as a main color and offset it with a nice gloss black perhaps.

You know I think everything except the frame will be powder coated ,,, the frame will be sand blasted and painted nice though. Powder coating the frame would be lavishly expensive
