Now about the windows rolling down/up, those are tough, definitely need the mechanism inside the doors replaced, those rods are bent I think

Haven't been on in awhile but is sure looks like your making some head way. Fan and hooks look great! Man that thing is going to have more gauges than a space shuttle...lol

yeah...I haven't had much time to work on mine. I'm having our fab shop make me a new rail that runs the width of the bed underneath. Original was all rusted out and falling apart. I should have it back this week. Then I can prime and paint the inside of the rail get it welded back on then coat the whole underside of the bed. Don't think I'll have time this weekend but hopefully soon.

That's pretty sweet actually make sure to definitely post pictures of the rail before install and after install Etc, I want to see that! Well don't let the time issue get you down. It will work itself out buddy, you'll eventually get the time you've been wanting to work on it, and you'll get things knocked out soon enough, just keep an open eye out for it and talk to the fiancé about it lol.... I hope you are doing well minus,..... Andrew

So I FINALLY picked up enough paint to finish the inside of the dog house and the bottom of the bed as well! Picked up rustoleum gloss protective enamel and also the clear coat enamel to protect and seal the finish on it... I probably will need like 6 more cans of clear coat at least so I can finish up on the frame.... I never clear coated it.. So I will clean and apply another layer or two of gloss and clear coat it A.S.A.P on the frame and rest of the body that I'm painting... I will need more gloss too, I'd say 6 cans at least on the frame... And another 6 for the axles.... I will be painting those as well. I'm not a pro by any means but I'm trying my best to make it looked spiffed up and built right inside and out.... I am ordering a new battery for the truck as well and will place the "old" battery in one of our other vehicles after testing it... I'm looking into a optima red top battery with 800 cold cranking amps at zero degrees. I have heard great things about this battery with some saying it has lasted eight years easily. Some were daily drivers, others were not daily drivers. I could use some new battery cables and connectors as well which I'm thinking will be the next thing I need it get after the battery.... It's coming along and hopefully I will have all these parts and things installed myself and the motor put it and truck done by the first snow..... We will see if I can manage that.....

So I went to walmart today because I'm doing a transmission service on my wife's 1996 dodge ram 1500 4x4 for a tranny filter and fluid exchange as well as adjust the bands. And they only had 7 quarts of ATF plus 4 . It takes 10.1 quarts according to the owners manual ! So I purchased two more cans of clear coat enamel from rustoleum ( favorite brand of paint ) and a package of 50 grit sandpaper to blow through the job today and hopefully I will get the bed and dog house finally done between today and tomorrow! We will see ... The weather and wind has a lot to do with getting it done in a timely manner.... Well that's about it for today, I will post pictures like always if I get anything else done today on the truck!
