Well guys I just ordered my first ever optima battery!

Also ordered another tube of loctite 598 black high temp sealant ( -75 degrees to 625 degrees ) for my truck, I used half a tube on my wife's tranny pan / filter change / fluid exchange service on our other 4x4. So she let me order another tube!

Now I just need some new battery cables and connections to go with to provide the most for the new battery. Poor connections ie corroded or oil varnish , dirt, rust , debris etc on the electrical connections or old worn seen it's better days type of wires will hinder electrical current causing a higher amp draw, more heat through the wires and a possible risk of melting or fire, drainage to your battery and an increased load on the alternator with a decrease in voltage to components. It's vital to have good connections and wires in good condition, my wires and connections truly could use replacing so that's the goal!
